In September Pet Shop Boys will release a new album, entitled "Elysium", on Parlophone. The album was produced in Los Angeles by Andrew Dawson and Pet Shop Boys. To give an idea of the album’s sound, a short film for the album track “Invisible” can be viewed online now on this site or on Vevo or on You Tube (links below). The film was made by renowned Los Angeles artist/film-maker Brian Bress.
Like several tracks on “Elysium”, “Invisible” features backing vocals by singer/songwriter James Fauntleroy and veteran singers Oren, Maxine and Julie Waters whose long singing career spans sessions with The Jackson Five to Adele.
Pet Shop Boys add a third Spanish date to their 2015 tour.
Jon Savage's new compilation "A Secret History of Second Wave Psychedelia 1988-1993" is released only on vinyl on April 27th on Caroline True Records. Alongside tracks by the Stone Roses, 808 State and Primal Scream, it also features everyone's favourite PSB experimental track, "The sound of the atom splitting". This track was inspired by a line in the Derek Jarman film, "The Last of England", and created during a studio jam session with Chris, Neil, Trevor Horn and Steve Lipson.
