A week on the West Coast

The Fundamental tour has now arrived on the West Coast of America. Tonight Pet Shop Boys will play in Seattle, on Tuesday in San Francisco, and on Wednesday and Thursday in Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles, they will be recording performances on two national TV shows. Details to follow. There will also be in-store signing sessions in San Francisco and Los Angeles. See earlier news item for details.

PSBs return to Australia

Pet Shop Boys will play their first concerts in over a decade in Australia next year as co-headliners of the first V Festival Australia. Two dates are being announced now but there will be more. (Other Pet Shop Boys shows around the world in 2007 will be announced over the next few weeks as they are confirmed.)

Radio One mixmasters

In 1991 when we presented the Simon Bates Show on BBC Radio One for a week, we featured each day a special mix of current dance music. We commissioned the mixes from 808 State, Kenny Ken, Sasha, Frankie Knuckles and Carl Cox. At the time, it was amazing to hear dance music at 10.30 in the morning on Radio One and the mixes got a great reaction from the listening public. Someone has just uploaded all of the five mixes to Soundcloud (we have no idea how they got hold of them...). Check them out at the link below. Neil x (Thanks to Wayne Studer for alerting us to this.)
