A hugely acclaimed Chinese film, “Mountains May Depart”, by Jia Zhangke, will be shown at the New York Film Festival this month before general release next year. The film’s opening scene is set in 1999 to the accompaniment of Pet Shop Boys’ “Go West”, “a song whose promise of blue skies captures the dreams of affluence that seized so many Chinese youth at the turn of the century.” Links to more information and to the official trailer below.

Hi. Neil performed a couple of songs with Brandon Flowers at his concert at The Wiltern tonight, “Rent” and “Human”. Great show and nice to see Brandon again. Chris x

We’re delighted that “Closer To Heaven” is returning for another run at the Union Theatre (see the news story). Looks like there’ll be some new cast members as well. Looking forward to seeing it. Maybe you’ll be there the same night as us? Stranger things have happened! Neil xx
