Cabaret meets pop in this musical reinterpretation of songs by Pet Shop Boys. Director David Knox and music arranger Dean Lotherington have collaborated on a series of storylines dealing with love, happiness, infidelity and loss, based on a number of hits from the groupís illustrious career. Lotherington has taken songs like What Have I Done To Deserve This?, Jealousy, Rent and Red Letter Day, and swapped the deadpan electronics of the originals for jazz arrangements incorporating pianos, cellos, violins and double bass. Five vocalists delivery unique renditions of the songs, that guide the stories along the themes of Monotony, Rendezvous and Confrontation. With a stunning stage design by Jeremy Smith and passionate performances from the cast, Seriously is an inventive and enthralling addition to the world of musicals.
