“Musik”, the cabaret by Jonathan Harvey and Pet Shop Boys, is to get a four-week London run following its sold-out world premiere at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The 60-minute, one-woman show starring Frances Barber reprising her role as Billie Trix from the 2001 musical, “Closer to Heaven”, will run at the Leicester Square Theatre from Wednesday, February 5th to Sunday, March 1st. Tonight sees the official opening night of “My Beautiful Laundrette” at the Curve Theatre in Leicester. Adapted by Hanif Kureishi from his 1985 film script, and directed by Nikolai Foster, the play contains two songs as well as instrumental music by Chris and Neil.

'Being Boring' is released as a single. On the same day, the book Pet Shop Boys, Literally, written by Chris Heath, is published.


The Montage concert video is released.


Having completed the U.S. leg of their Fundamental tour, the Boys fly to Guadalajara for the first of three shows in Mexico.


'Did You See Me Coming?' hits #1 on the Billboard Dance Club/Play chart. On the same day, Neil and Chris record a two-hour show for Dave Pearce's BBC Radio 6 Sunday evening dance-music program, although it's not scheduled to air until December 20.


As they had several days before, they once again spend the whole day working on 'Bolshy.'
