Neil and Chris have been very saddened to be informed that the guitarist JJ Belle died of cancer in the last few days. JJ was a brilliant musician who helped to define the Pet Shop Boys’ sound, playing on many Pet Shop Boys’ records — “Being boring”, for instance — and also touring with them in the early 90s. We are sure that all PSB fans will want to join Neil and Chris in sending their condolences to all of JJ’s family and loved ones. A condolence book has been set up on his website where more information about his life and work can also be found.
Thanks to everyone at the John Rylands Library, Manchester, for hosting our “Nonetheless” launch event in their spectacular building and to Jon Savage for interviewing us. And of course to everyone who attended the event!
