Pet Shop Boys performed their original music for “Battleship Potemkin” with the Northern Sinfonia orchestra last night to an audience of 14,000 people in the Swan Hunter shipyard, Wallsend, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. It was the sixth public performance of the work after London, Frankfurt, Bonn, Berlin and Hamburg and was presented by the Newcastle Gateshead Initiative.
